—————–

Meeting Goals:

To allow some of the wonderful members of the Story Works community (partners, volunteers, board, staff, supporters, and alumni) meet and learn from each other.
To share ideas about how we can all help support Story Works and it’s mission.

Story Works Mission: (A quick review, just in case!)

Story Works supports youth voices through storytelling and writing workshops that develop skills, build resilience, and increase access to opportunity. We believe in the importance of listening, the protective value of connection, and the power of stories to foster wellness for individuals and communities.

Meeting Agenda:

  • Introductions
  • Updates from board members, awesome volunteers, SAYiT, and Teaching Fellows.
  • EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT
  • Small group discussions/brainstorming in breakout rooms
  • Closing questions
  • Goodbyes
    • Bonus: This meeting will feature graphic note-taking thanks to Stacy Weitzner. Thank you, Stacy!

How to prepare for the meeting

Happily, you will not need to prepare anything in advance but we do encourage you to:

  • Find a comfortable place to sit.
  • Please bring a notebook and pen.
  • Please be prepared to use video, if possible.

Please...

Before using the online registration system confirm that your application has been approved and make sure you can attend (or have attended) an orientation session prior to your volunteer date. We will have to decline any unapproved registrations. Thanks for your understanding!

It's cool, I've been approved! (if I haven't, I'm just looking.)

Oops, I need to fill out a volunteer application...
